FEP – General Orientation
General Orientation (GO) is the first part of FEP.
a. Goal : Helping fresh Binusian to know more about Binus University environment, rules and registration, Student Organizations, and more general university stuff.
b. At Kemanggisan, GO is divided into 5 waves / batches : ABN, BBN, CBN, DBN, and EBN. Each GO batch lasts for one week, starting with ABN and following with BBN, CBN, DBN, and EBN consecutively from July 18th until August 27th. One batch of GO consists of approximately 500 students.
c. Buddy-BC system applied. Starting from GO, every students are called “Buddy”. Buddies will be divided into classes (approx. 50 buddies in a class) and they will be coordinated by their seniors called “Buddy Coordinator” or “BC”.
d. Below are the activities that buddies do during GO :
- Briefing : Buddies receive briefings from their BCs about FEP (activities, dresscodes, rules, etc). Buddies are also taught how to sing the anthem of Binus University and Binusian.
- Binusian Journey : Buddies learn about Binusian Journey (what will they do until they graduate).
- Perkuliahan, Ujian, Registrasi : Buddies learn about learning methods, attending exams, and doing registration.
- Sukses Kuliah & Aturan Tata Tertib Kehidupan Kampus : Buddies learn about campus rules and how to become a successful student while obeying the rules.
- Bunga Rampai : Buddies learn about all Student Organizations of Binus University while enjoying their performances in Auditorium.
- Binus Maya : Buddies learn how to operate Binus Maya (Binusian official website).
- Binus Way : Buddies learn about the history of Binus University, including the founders and current leaders. They also receive motivation and tips from Binus University rector.
- Kerohanian : Buddies learn about Student Organizations which based on religion. They also do religious stuff with their organization.
- Kebersamaan : Buddies and BCs gather all together to celebrate the togetherness. They also present their own “yell-yell”.
- EXPO : Buddies get to know more about Student Organizations and also may register into the organizations.
